Science / Technology Facts and Figures
Page’s Science / Technology practice includes some of the most technically challenging and complex projects in industries with the greatest potential for growth in the 21st century. While Page is distinguished by our portfolio of successes, we also are distinguished by our full spectrum of architectural and engineering design services. This allows us to provide an integrated “total design” single team approach. Our clients benefit from the highest levels of interdisciplinary coordination, quality control and quick responses demanded on today’s highly complex and technically sophisticated projects.
1M
Annually, our laboratory planners program, plan and design over one million gross square feet of high-quality research space for multiple sectors.
$3.75B
In the last eight years alone, Page has designed over 35 data centers valued at over $3.75B and ranging from Uptime Institute Tier II – Tier IV designs.
#5
Page is consistently ranked at the top by industry publications such as BD+C which pegged the firm at #5 of Top Architecture Data Center Firms in 2019.
385
We commissioned a 385-acre LEED Gold corporate campus comprised of 14 buildings designed to accommodate approximately 10,000 employees. Our scope encompassed all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and building envelope systems.
Innovating Research Environments
Page Senior Principal Art Chavez just attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially opened a Page-designed project with the potential to advance the energy industry. The new 60,000-square-foot Aramco Services Houston Research Center is located in a repurposed high bay office space that began life as a warehouse. Under Page’s expertise, it is now a state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) facility that will conduct upstream energy research in exploration, drilling, field development and production management.
Senior Principal Chavez commented that Page’s repurposing of the Research Center structure, which retained virtually its original footprint, is an example of how the firm successfully demonstrated its understanding of the complexities of the Science / Technology core market. Additionally, it reflects Page’s collaborative design approach in several ways. Read More
More / PetrochemicalDesigning Facilities to Withstand Technological Threats
In addition to conventional threats like flood, fire and wind, facility owners and operators are increasingly looking for ways to protect their critical infrastructure from man-made, technological threats such as HEMP (High altitude Electromagnetic Pulse) and IEMI (Intentional Electromagnetic Interference) to unpredictable natural events like solar and geomagnetic storms.
At Page, we have collaborated with world-class resources to develop methods to protect commercial facilities and their critical infrastructure from the detrimental effects caused by such events. Read More
