Page was selected to provide retro-commissioning services for the Sam Houston State University Campus in Huntsville, Texas for the Chemistry Forensics Science Building (#300) confirming current conditions and functionality for the building and laboratory HVAC systems and associated building and lab environment control systems. The total square footage is approximately, 64,100 square feet and utilizes building and lab control systems by Andover and Phoenix controls.
The existing building is a three-story laboratory facility with mechanical rooms on the first floor for the heating system, chill water pumps and VAV air system; along with supply air mechanical rooms on the east and west end of the second and third floors; and a lab exhaust system on the roof.
The building includes teaching labs on the first floor east side and second and third floors. Lab arrangements include different combinations of supply air valves, exhaust air valves, fume hood air valves and snorkel air valves to control lab environments.
