This new building provided the Upstate Medical University Institute for Human Performance with a new 158,000-square-foot addition. The four-story addition provides two levels of flexible wet lab space for teams of investigators from different disciplines who are collaborating on the cause and progression of diseases of the brain, spine and nervous system. There are core labs for 2-Photon Microscopy and Microarray. One floor is dedicated to a 23,500-square-foot animal housing with a behavioral testing suite, transgenic breeding suite, and large aquatics housing suite, as well as an animal imaging core with MRI, SPECT/CT and MicroPET.
Page/SST Planners provided lab programming and lab planning services for the building, which was designed by Goody Clancy & Associates.
