This project provides Brown University with the renovation of animal and lab spaces for the behavioral neuroscience department within the seven-story, 1960s era Biomedical Center. The renovation included zebra fish holding, rodent and procedure rooms, shielded testing rooms for electrophysiology, acoustic isolation testing and BSL2 biomedical labs. The renovation comprises about 1,500 square feet of animal and associated support space and over 7,000 square feet of adjoining wet and dry research labs.
Page/SST Planners participated in all phases of the lab planning process during the renovation of the $4.5M project. The design architect for the project was Leers Weinzapfel Associates.
