Tamara has a passion for exploring architecture through travel and food adventures. A formative experience was an Advanced Design Studio semester, which included extensive travels through Mexico and Guatemala. Later, she took conversational Japanese courses in preparation for a trip to Japan, which allowed a deeper immersion and understanding of the culture.
She is also passionate about shaping the environment and making lives better through thoughtful design. Tamara is currently reshaping Austin's skyline and urban fabric with a new high rise office tower that includes the adaptive reuse of a historic federal building, allowing the public to experience Austin's rich history from an urban plaza.
Tamara joined Page with a wealth of knowledge from a diverse range of project types over her career. Prior to returning to her native Texas, she worked for SHoP Architects in Manhattan where she played an integral role in the design and coordination of the American Copper Towers in Manhattan with a focus on the facade and three story sky bridge.
As a graduate of the The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, she appreciates the opportunity to influence urban development related to historic projects she studied, including Fountain Place Residences, a multifamily high rise complement to the original 1986 Henry Cobb-designed tower that is a noteworthy part of the Dallas skyline.
