Biography

A shy child, Kaci Taylor was always attuned to spaces that helped her feel more comfortable engaging with people. Today, as a registered architect she explains, "Our surroundings shape us. Luckily for us, we have the power to shape our surroundings."

Prioritizing humans, not history or profit, is the keystone of her work philosophy and she aspires to contribute to building more inclusive cities. To achieve that, Kaci wants architects to do more of the very thing she feared as a child: talking to people about their needs and wants so they receive unique design solutions.

She experienced the power of inclusive design collaboration while working on projects like new homes for people displaced by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and affordable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area. “I think we can all get stuck in our own little bubble,” Kaci says. “In an inclusive atmosphere, ideas are generated that can then spark other, amazing innovations.”

Prior to joining Page, Kaci worked for architectural firms in California and Colorado, and is licensed to practice architecture in both states. She is active in the AIA Colorado Chapter, serving on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusiveness Committee.
