Biography

Juliane brings an international perspective to Page gained from living in different countries and speaking three languages fluently. She has been actively involved with the AIA Washington DC Chapter for several years, most recently in the role of Co-Chair for the chapter’s Latin American Interior Designers, Architects and Engineers Committee. In this capacity, she has organized numerous events that brought relevant topics such as sustainable design, urban resilience and global thinking to the design community of the DC metro region.

Growing up in Curitiba, Brazil, which has been recognized numerous times as one of the most sustainable cities in the world, made Juliane aware of the positive effect architecture and urban design can have on people’s lives. She was inspired to obtain her Bachelor of Architecture from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, where she presented a proposal to bring more green public spaces to the city of Queretaro. Additionally, she was awarded a scholarship from the state government to study Project Management and Public Policy in Washington, DC in 2013.

Prior to joining Page, Juliane worked for a firm in Washington DC that specializes in green, high-end residential projects, which also allowed her to pursue her deep interest in sustainability at multiple levels.
