Jessica Anderson

Jessica Anderson

Sustainability Coordinator

Biography

Jessica was always outside at a young age climbing anything that she could find, much to the chagrin of her mother who was always patching her up after any injury incurred by each risky endeavor. This love of adventure takes her on epic trips like a recent one in Yellowstone where it was so quiet she only heard the snow crunching under her feet. She believes the joy she derives from all these wonderful experiences should be available to future generations, which is why she lives by the words of Margaret Mead, “We won’t have a society if we destroy the environment.”

She committed to a career in sustainability early in her college years as an undergraduate at UConn. Her personal fortitude and persistence in influencing decision makers is crucial in supporting innovative and creative design solutions. At Page, she leverages her corporate work background in quality assurance as well as her educational background in business management and environmental policy/science to be successful in her role. This foundation helps Jessica manage team expectations and provide insightful solutions to projects.

She keeps up with evolving trends and continuing education in the building sciences practice area, often attending events in the DC area related to sustainability, resilience and energy policy. Jessica takes pride in knowing that her role at Page ensures that projects meet the firm's promise of design that makes lives better. One recent example is the nearby Long Bridge Park Aquatics & Fitness Center in Arlington because it provides increased opportunities for community engagement and healthy lifestyle choices for area residents.
