Biography

Architectural designers have numerous areas of interest they can choose to pursue: residential, industrial, healthcare, etc. Recent graduate Craig Egan has declared his is universal design, which results in spaces that meet the needs of all users, regardless of age, health or physical abilities. By leveraging his skills to make lives better, he can nurture his desire to help others and create a difference in communities. This stemmed from a graduate design studio project at Hayley House in Denver, a hospice facility for children that required sensory, sustainable and universal design elements to increase user accessibility and comfort.

Craig’s ambition to be a successful architect has led him to achieve his Masters in architecture as well as additional academic degrees in environmental design and computer-aided drafting technology. During his studies, he also gained more than two years of experience as an architectural designer and advanced his real-world knowledge in the field of sustainable design and practical skills through the use of Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, and SketchUp software programs. Today, he is working toward licensure, motivated by a quote by singer Frank Ocean to “work hard in silence, let your success be your noise.”
