Which Fashion Designer Are You?

This was the question our Principal Marissa Yu asked her fellow Page designers after reading an article which featured 23 homes of famous fashion designers. The answers she received were quite interesting to read, and each Pager chose completely different looks.

“Tory Burch, of course,” Marissa responded as she kicked off the fun chain email. The interior was filled with warm colors and comfortable, textured furnishings with multiple patterns and splashes of blue seen on the decorative accents.

Armand Kostanian, associate and technical designer, chose fashion icon Tom Ford. It was the complete opposite look from Marissa’s choice. The interior was dark, sleek and minimal – similar to the suits Tom Ford is always wearing. The only color in the room that didn’t fall within the grayscale was the deep violet calla lilies placed on the large marble coffee table.

“Marc Jacobs!!! Love, love, love!” our design librarian Sarah Moore stated. I think it’s safe to say she loved the home’s simple and clean look. The walls, floors and a large sectional sofa (one of two pieces of furniture in the room) were white. The decorative accents were all placed on the floor – a patterned pillow to sit on and framed art work leaning against a wall.

The question was a neat way to get a glimpse of our employees’ personal style. Now we want to know “which interior best describes you?”
