We Care Holiday Fun for Kids

Since 1998 during the holiday season we have joined Herman Miller’s We Care national crafts event. This year, children were invited to the Boys & Girls Club in Houston where they could complete as many crafts as they wished. In addition to the crafts, children decorated cupcakes, had their pictures taken with Santa, got their faces painted and were treated to dinner.

Pagers including Genesis Morales, Sana Sabharwal, Jessica Salinas, Chelsea Walker and Marissa Yu set up an ornament-making station. The ornaments, which were laser-cut wood of various shapes, could be decorated with markers and jewels. 

Page Principal Marissa Yu, who spearheads our annual participation, noted: “We let the children express their creativity and their own personality into these ornaments. Some of them write notes on them to give to loved ones. It’s always a special time and We Care is always a great way for us to start off the holiday season!”
