Washington County Picks Page for 911 Center Design

Washington County, Texas, commissioners selected Page to design their new emergency communications and operations center, citing the firm's expertise on data centers. According to the Washington County emergency dispatching coordinator, "This company rose to the top" [of five firms interviewed]. While the county has not yet selected a site, the effort is forward thinking. The commissioners recognize that their 911 call center has to operate even if a tornado wipes out everything else.

Page recently completed the Quarry Run Regional Operations Center, which is unique among first-responders facilities in the United States for supporting the county sheriff, municipal police and fire departments as well as surrounding counties with emergency operations, a public safety answering point (PSAP), and administrative functions. The project has received a great deal of attention, from multiple media outlets to NENA, the National Emergency Number Association, which arranged for members to tour it. 

Additionally, the firm was just named to the Top Five Data Center Giants among architecture firms in the US. Several months ago Page was recognized as the Data Center Design Team of the Year by Datacenter Dynamics Global Awards for its work on RagingWire Data Center,  a 1 million square foot campus that benefited from a hybrid integrated project delivery model which worked at scale to improve design, quality and speed-to-market. Page also has won the prestigious Brill Global Leadership Award, for the design and construction of the United Airlines Data Center.
