Topping Out Of Class A Building In New Urban Center
Page and its project team partners just celebrated the topping out of an 85,000 sf Page-designed Class A building , the only mixed-use curtain walled facility to break ground in Houston in 2016. Page also had a second reason to cheer at the event for 250 Assay St, which will serve as the corporate center for a 4,000-acre commercial development in a new northeast Houston urban center known as Generation Park.
Page is also designing the interior spaces for two new relocation headquarters, McCord Development, the developer of Generation Park and Apache Industrial Services, Inc., an energy services company. McCord will take over one floor of 250 Assay St while Apache will move onto two floors. Both custom workplace designs will serve the respective firms' business needs and cultures.
250 Assay St is a five-story building that will feature retail space on the ground floor and premiere access to a wide range of amenities including a connecting parking garage with approximately 650 spaces, restaurants and practical services. The LEED-certified design includes floor-to-ceiling windows to provide daylighting and take advantage of the views of the landscaped surroundings.
Generation Park is strategically located on a growth corridor that will be home to office space, medical facilities, research and development campuses, industry, multifamily housing and retail. It is located near the intersection of Beltway 8 and Sam Houston Tollway, minutes from Houston Intercontinental Airport, the Port of Houston and the Central Business District.
McCord Development Inc. is the developer behind Generation Park and the Page client for the 250 Assay St building as well as the interior space for its headquarters. E.E. Reed Construction is serving as general contractor. The building is scheduled for substantial completion in summer 2017.
