Thinking Forward to 2015
2014 was an amazing year for Page. We feel like we won the professional lottery!
Our new brand, which represented a new name, new logo, new organizational structure and new generation of leadership, was announced a year ago and was so well-received that we were honored for Best Brand, Best Outreach Campaign and Best Website by multiple marketing associations. Our project work received accolades with awards from organizations such as SARA (four of them, no less!) and ASLA, a Woodworks Design Award and ENR Global Awards. We were gratified to achieve the first Platinum LEED certification for a U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Building Operations and see several other projects certified at LEED levels higher than they were originally designed for.
Two of our leaders were elevated to Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and one of our Senior Project Architects was tapped as President-Elect of the Texas Society of Architects, which is the largest state chapter in the US. We acquired a new office and new colleagues in San Francisco, welcoming new principals and their teams and expanding our Planning service capabilities. Additionally, one of the country’s leading experts in predictive analytics joined Page, further strengthening our consulting services. Our Washington DC office renovated a stunning new space to accommodate their growth and celebrated with a packed Open House.
We saw the communities in which we live, play and work improved by our projects like gamechanging university residential halls, a new football stadium that connects the community with the campus on which it's located, hospitals that provide enhanced medical care to their areas, an expanded airport terminal in one of the fastest-growing cities in the US and mission critical facilities that ensure consumers receive the continuous service they expect and deserve.
Another Page Senior Project Manager co-chaired a Women in Architecture retrospective that turned out to be one of our most popular employee features of the year. One of our designers / professors was awarded a fellowship to study in Mexico and another represented Page and the American architecture industry at a biennial conference in Bolivia. We were honored to be featured on magazine covers and in multiple articles for our work and our employees, and we just celebrated our architects, engineers and interior designers who became newly licensed in 2014.
As with last year, we will be presenting at multiple conferences and attending various events in 2015 where we hope to see you, share best practices and gain new perspectives toward our vision of creating design that improves lives.
