Strengthening Communities Through Affordable Homeownership
Page is excited to be in a position to support a client that makes a difference in the community. Avenue has a mission to build affordable homes and strengthen communities. Page has supported them for several years through project work and their annual fundraiser. This year's 'Art on the Avenue' fundraiser on November 11 will be chaired by John Cryer III, FAIA and Page Board of Directors / Emeritus.
Page also is supporting the event as an Artisan Sponsor. And this year, support is even more crucial as Avenue has shifted course to help Houstonians rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Page was first introduced to Avenue through Senior Project Architect Tami Merrick, an artist and community organizer. She has served on the board since 2011 and is now the art director for the annual Art on the Avenue fundraiser. Tami chose to support the organization because it fosters stronger families and communities while offering an interesting venue for local artists.
Now, Page is providing full design services on the development of their new offices in Near Northside Houston. The multistory facility also will accommodate a homeownership center and additional lease space that connects to a courtyard space for Avenue sponsored community assembly that shares a view of Moody Park. The lease space design intends a long term strategy to accommodate Avenue’s potential growth. Page is providing architectural and interior design services on this project.
