Real Estate Journal: FIRMSPACE Plants Co-working Flag in Denver

Co-working spaces are gaining popularity in the US, particularly among entrepreneurs and limited partnerships. These spaces provide the flexibility of both independent offices and shared workspaces, allowing users the option to shift throughout their day to suit their needs. FIRMSPACE, a national co-working provider, seeks to distinguish itself in the industry by providing a refined environment that also reflects the local cultures within its offices.

The design for the FIRMSPACE Denver location caught the attention of Colorado Real Estate Journal (CREJ). Page’s forward-thinking combination of workplace design strategy and business-oriented amenities leverage the view of the Rocky Mountains through floor-to-ceiling windows. Kristin Kirk, the hospitality director for Austin, Texas-based FIRMSPACE, quipped to John Rebchook of CREJ, “I’m afraid if I worked at one of these spaces, I might spend all of my time admiring the view.”

Inspired by the nearby Union Station, the finishes make up a rich color palette with hard woods and plush textiles contrasting polished white marble. Office furniture offers stand-up options for all desks and chairs, couches, chaises and other furniture are characterized by clean contemporary lines. In the cafe area, deep emerald-colored textiles in peacock blue, white tiles in herringbone patterns and delicate bronze light fixtures all recall the elegance of Union Station’s late 19-century Beaux Arts style.

Rebchook also interviewed Matt Ferstler, co-founder and CEO at FIRMSPACE, about choosing Denver. “We launched FIRMSPACE to serve an unmet need in the coworking market. Many senior-level professionals and executives like the flexibility and convenience of coworking, but aren’t looking for a noisy, open-format workplace. Instead, they’re seeking a private, secure and luxurious space in which to achieve optimal productivity. Our Denver location meets that need, and then some.”
