Project Putt-Putt

Page is again a proud sponsor of the AT&T Byron Nelson, the ninth longest-running active tournament on the PGA Tour schedule. Our Dallas office wanted to kick off the upcoming event by building their own mini putt-putt golf course.

Our creative colleagues used scrap architectural materials to construct multiple putting areas. A few of the challenges included obstacles built with wood and rocks and hills were formed from carpet. The team was really resourceful, using shredded paper to mimic a rough terrain, pool noodles for guides and arches made of printed pictures. Pagers won’t be competing in the AT&T Byron Nelson, but they sure know how to have just as much fun - if not more.

The tournament is hosted by The Salesmanship Club of Dallas. It’s the main fund raiser for the Momentous Institute, which operates the J. Erik Jonsson Community School in Oak Cliff and the Child and Family Guidance Center.

The Jonsson School and Guidance Center serve over 8,000 at-risk kids and families in the North Texas area annually. The Momentous Institute is a research based program providing therapeutic services that help families come together to discuss challenges at school, conflict and communication problems, depression/anxiety, divorce and blended families, sexual, physical and emotional abuse. The goal is to teach children and their families to learn social emotional strategies to change the odds for kids.

The tournament will take place on May 28 – May 31 in Irving, TX.
