Page to Design Naval Facilities Housing in Djibouti

The Birmingham Business Journal has broken the news that Page and local firm B.L. Harbert International have been awarded a design-build contract by the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Page will provide architectural design services throughout the contract for the P-921 Unaccompanied Housing at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa.

Page and B. L. Harbert have successfully collaborated on many other overseas projects for the United States government, as seen in the above gallery image, which have been recognized with over 15 industry/design awards, including three ENR Global Best Project awards to date.

According to Page Senior Principal Thomas McCarthy, "It is an honor to support the Navy. Our work at Camp Lemonnier will have a positive and lasting impact on their mission." 

The project provides housing for up to 260 persons as permanent-party military unaccompanied housing and was designed to complement the Camp Lemonnier Master Plan and Installation Appearance Plan (IAP).  Camp Lemonnier is a U.S. Navy-led installation offering support, combat readiness and security for the Horn of Africa and the region.
