Page is Honored in 2015

As we look back on 2015, we are very proud of the recognition given to our people and our projects throughout the year. Not only did projects in a number of market sectors receive local, national and international awards, but our employees were honored for their individual contributions to their profession.

Two projects which are enhancing the lives of university students – 2400 Nueces and University of Houston (UH) Cougar Woods Dining Hall – were recognized with design awards by the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA). Another UH project, TDECU Stadium, received four awards, including from AIA Chapters in Austin, Nebraska and Houston which also honored Cougar Woods.

The IIDA Texas-Oklahoma Chapter awarded our interiors for the Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates office building and the Modern Spine clinic. Another healthcare-related project, the Parkland Logistics Building, recently won a Distinguished Building Award for Design-Build projects.

One of our many multifamily residential projects, AMLI Mueller, received the Gold Award for Low-rise Developments from the Multi-Housing News (MHN) Excellence Awards.

Page was a member of the design-build team responsible for the U.S. Embassy Compound in Vientiane, Laos which received a Global Best Project award for government buildings from Engineering News-Record (ENR), while three master plans for which Page was lead designer or a team member were honored with awards from prominent planning organizations: the Arts, Culture and Entertainment District in Oroville, California; 2nd Street District in Austin; and the UT Medical District in Austin.

The Uptime Institute recognized the project team for the United Airlines Data Center with its prestigious and global Brill Award, and one of the data center team members, Page Principal Tom Earp, PE, ATD, was selected by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine as one of its 40 Under 40 winners, which identifies the most talented young individuals in the engineering community through a nomination process.

Jonathan Vaughan CCP, CEM, Page Principal and Commissioning Director, received the 2015 Presidential Award from The Building Commissioning Association for his outstanding contributions to the organization and the profession.

Two Pagers were recognized by the 2015 Young Architecture Forum (YAF) in the 10 Under Ten design competition. Page Associate Principal Josh Coleman, AIA, was selected as one of the winners, while Page designer Ricardo Munoz, AIA, was acknowledged with an honorable mention. Principal Talmadge Smith, AIA, was selected by the AIA to be represented in its 2015 Annual Emerging Professionals Exhibition.

The University of Texas at Austin honored Page Senior Principal Larry Speck, FAIA, for four decades of teaching with the prestigious Alcalde teaching award, the Texas 10 – only the fourth time this award has been given by the Texas Exes alumni association in recognition of "master teachers" at UT.

We are honored that so many organizations recognize that Page designs – and people – do make lives better!
