Page Welcomes...
Page welcomes Associate Principal and Director of Landscape Architecture Andrew Sullivan, ASLA. Andrew’s extensive portfolio ranges from urban design and master planning, to the design and construction of private gardens, public parks, institutional and private campuses, and civic spaces. At Page, Andrew will oversee landscape architecture across the firm, ensuring consistency in best practices and quality of design.
Landscape architecture allows Andrew to explore people’s relationship with nature and to build connections to nature for people. He finds that inspiration and design solutions often come from the most unlikely sources, and appreciates the transformative power of beautiful, purposeful design. Andrew’s projects such as the amphitheater at Stern Grove and the Anza Esplanade in San Francisco as well as the California Shakespeare Theater, located in the hills north of Berkeley, all demonstrate his ability to integrate environments. They create large gathering spaces, which when not filled with thousands of people, also serve a quiet places for reflection.
Andrew has extensive experience working with academic clients including The University of Virginia, University of California San Francisco, and De Anza College in Cupertino, California. The award-winning LEED Platinum New Media and Learning Center De Anza was particularly satisfying because the series of plazas intersecting a central promenade integrates the campus, providing pedestrian pathways with layers of experiences.
Andrew is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the San Francisco Urban Forestry Council. Prior to joining Page, Andrew was the principal of Andrew Sullivan Landscape studio. He was an associate principal at Office of Cheryl Barton and also worked at The Office of Lawrence Halprin. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
