Page, a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm, announces that Peter J. Stavenger, AIA, NCARB, has joined the firm’s leadership team as an associate principal. A project architect, Peter specializes in leading large, complex commercial projects across market sectors in which Page works, with a strong emphasis on the Civic / Government sector.

While Peter has worked on award winning projects across the United States, he has been based in Colorado for the majority of his career and is now located in Page’s Denver office. Peter has successfully led teams consisting of owners, users, designers and contractors by employing a collaborative approach to identify and meet collective goals.

Some of his notable projects include commercial airport designs, renovations and expansions that range from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Sacramento International Airport; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport; and repeat projects at Los Angeles International Airport among others. Peter also has worked on office buildings and hospitality interiors.

His portfolio includes various other civic projects such as the Public Safety Headquarters for the City of San Antonio, the Nature Research Center in Raleigh, NC and the Miami Beach Convention Center. Peter recently helped lead the Colorado Convention Center feasibility study and the resulting Master Plan now underway in Denver. 

Peter is experienced in the full range of design services from programming to construction administration. He is adept at overseeing a wide range of activities on a complex project and clearly communicating with team members to ensure work remains on schedule and at or under budget.

Previously, Peter worked for Fentress Architects, also located in Denver and began his career at PLY Architecture in Ann Arbor, MI, where he worked on two projects that won state AIA Honor Awards. He is a member of the Board of Governors for the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, from which he received his M. Arch with High Distinction while attending on an Architecture Program Merit Scholarship, and was the inaugural King and Frances Stutzman Scholar.

He was awarded a Bachelor of Science with Distinction and Honors in Community and Regional Planning from the Iowa State University College of Design. Peter also received the William A. Malone Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Outstanding Undergraduate Award while simultaneously competing as a NCAA Division I varsity student-athlete.
