Page Welcomes...

Page welcomes back Interior Architecture principal Wendy Dunnam Tita, Wendy Dunnam Tita, AIA, LEED AP, who will lead Interiors at the Page Austin office. In her new role, Dunnam Tita will lead the firm’s Austin-based interior architects, designers and furniture specialists, further cementing Page’s reputation as a leader in each of its disciplines across the nation.

Dunnam Tita actually began her affiliation with the firm in 1995 when it was known as PageSoutherlandPage. She had just returned to Austin after spending several years at a New York boutique design firm that focused on high-end architecture and interiors. Her experience there ignited a passion for interior space and exceptional detailing. These qualities were a great fit for Page’s Interior Architecture Studio, and she eventually became the lead. In 2002, Dunnam Tita formed her own firm but continued to collaborate with her former colleagues at Page on several high profile, award-winning projects.

After more than a decade of success with her own office, Dunnam Tita agreed to rejoin Page as the firm refocuses on key practice areas.  Her management style blends with Page’s core values of collaboration, creativity and commitment. At Page, Dunnam Tita is able to offer her expertise with a broader range of resources to an expanded client base. In turn, the firm gains additional depth of experience in Corporate Commercial, Academic, Multifamily and Hospitality interiors with the integration of sustainable interior design and healthy workplace strategies.

According to Larry Speck, senior principal at Page, "Having Wendy back at Page 100% is already creating a great new energy in our Interiors group.  Her talent, experience and professional leadership are all extraordinary, and I have no doubt those traits are going to propel our work in Interior Architecture at Page to a whole new level."

Collaborations between Dunnam Tita and Page include urban projects such as AMLI on 2nd in downtown Austin and the offices of the distinguished law firm Graves Dougherty Hearon and Moody (GDHM) at Frost Bank Tower. Along with improvements to the 2nd Street District that have coalesced into a lively shopping and entertainment area in the heart of the city, AMLI on 2nd received the Austin Business Journal Best Mixed-Use Project, a Texas Society of Architecture Design Award, and the Dream Home Award for Best Mixed-Use.  GDHM received an AIA Austin Design Award.

Another award-winning joint effort with Page is the Torcasso Residence in Santa Fe. Its design was inspired by the spectacular landscape of northern New Mexico and the prospect of living in constant and memorable connection to nature. The project, recognized with a recent Collaboration of Art + Design Residential Award from The Art Commission, was designed by Page Principal Larry Speck. Dunnam Tita was responsible for the interior architecture and design.

Other notable projects from Dunnam Tita include the furniture showrooms of Shelton Keller (Knoll Dealership) and the recent renovation of Rockford Business Interiors.  She was also the lead for Programming, Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the headquarters for Greater Texas Foundation an education based philanthropy, which was the first LEED Accredited project in Bryan, Texas.

Dunnam Tita earned her Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin where she has also taught as an adjunct faculty member. She is registered to practice architecture in Texas and also is a member of the American Institute of Architects as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.

Dunnam Tita also supports her profession outside the office by serving as an Executive Board member for the American Institute of Architects Austin Chapter and as a member of the Speakers Bureau Committee for the Texas Society of Architects.
