Page Expands Laboratory Capabilities

We are pleased to announce that we have acquired Strategic Science & Technology Planners (SST Planners), a laboratory planning and design architecture firm in northern Virginia. The cumulative talent and depth of experience our new architects bring to Page will strengthen our existing laboratory services in planning, programming, research and design.

Page will leverage the niche expertise of our new employees to continue their model of collaborating with other firms on large, complex projects around the world. The transition should be seamless for existing clients of our newest architects and expand the range of award-winning consulting services now available to them through Page, such as commissioning.

Chris Cowansage, David McCullough and Malena Aquino also are our newest principals. Chris Cowansage was a co-founder of SST Planners in 1994 and has spent the majority of his career focusing on high technology research and teaching facilities. He typically oversees development of the Program of Requirements for the laboratory spaces that his team creates or renovates.

Malena Aquino is a specialist in laboratory planning and design with overall management responsibilities for a variety of high technology projects. David McCullough leverages his expertise as a programmer and designer to oversee all aspects of laboratory project development. For more information about them and their work, please visit our Consulting / Lab Planning section.

We welcome their design teams as well. Collectively, our new colleagues bring an impressive portfolio of projects that includes the prestigious “Renovated Laboratory of the Year” award for their work on the University of Connecticut Health Center, Cell and Genome Sciences Building. All our new employees are located at our Washington DC office.

This acquisition extends our vision of creating design that improves lives. By improving laboratory environments for users as well as supporting research and technological advancement in science, engineering and health, our work benefits society.
