Page Brings Home IIDA Chapter Awards

There is not much that makes us prouder than winning design awards, and Page has been pretty proud the last few weeks! Recently several Page designers attended the IIDA Texas-Oklahoma Chapter Inspire15 Annual Gala to accept design awards for two Page projects.

An office building for Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, located in Austin, was recognized with an Excellence in Design Award, Corporate Small Category. The 13,000-square-foot building is a showcase for the creative and economical use of concrete as a building material – both inside and out. This design decision also offered the client and the design team the opportunity to test using high thermal mass concrete walls as a means of reducing energy consumption.

Modern Spine, a medical practice specializing in spinal disorders in Sugar Land, received Honorable Mention in the Healthcare Small Category. The light-filled waiting room features a balance of warm wood veneer and sleek, glossy materials. This combination of contemporary features and warm materials is carried out throughout the clinical and office areas, where moveable, modular walls provide the flexibility to rearrange their office space with little to no additional construction.

Kari Brown and Bob Stapleton accepted the awards on behalf of their teammates for Modern Spine and WJE, respectively, and Elizabeth Chen, David Quenemoen and Monica Serowski were on hand to help them celebrate. Congratulations to the project teams!
