Next Step for Dallas Community Gamechanger

Next week, Mattia Flabiano will attend his first Board meeting at the Dallas Center for Architecture (DCFA). The three-year appointment is indicative of the influence of his career and contribution to the architectural profession in Dallas. As Senior Principal and longtime employee at Page, Mattia’s leadership garnered a Firm Of The Year award from the AIA (American Institute of Architects) Dallas Chapter earlier this year.

A proud Dallas native, Mattia also has volunteered his expertise for the City of Dallas Landmark Commission and the Downtown Dallas Executive Committee. Active in the community over the course of his career, he has served the Dallas Independent School District and the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. At DCFA, he will support their mission to bring the public more actively into the conversation about the importance of architecture and design to transform the way we all live.

In 2010, Mattia relocated the Page office to the historic Mercantile National Bank Building at Main and S. Ervay in downtown Dallas. The interior renovation that he initiated was the largest adaptive reuse project in the district in more than a decade and achieved LEED Silver certification. Today, Mattia is overseeing yet another key downtown Dallas renovation at 1910 Pacific by updating an interior space to fit the varied needs of the Health Wildcatters, a mentor-driven, seed accelerator program.
