New High School for Law and Justice on Scott St.
An article on Swamplot, which tracks real estate developments in Houston, describes the unique design of the new High School for Law and Justice by architects DLR Group and Page.
Notable features of the new 104,866-sq.-ft. building include a courtroom and law library, a crime scene investigation lab, fire technology, an emergency communications center and a black box theater.
HISD (Houston Independent School District) recently finalized the purchase of the property on Scott Street, which is centrally located near the Houston Police Department’s South Central Station, the University of Houston, and Texas Southern University – with easy access to the freeway, rail, and bike trails.
Construction for the 104,866-sq.-ft building will begin this summer and is expected to be completed by January 2017. Click to read the full article on Swamplot.
