New Charles Schwab & Co Corporate Campus Tops Off
Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Austin Mayor Steve Adler were among the officials who joined Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. executives and the Page project team at the celebratory topping off ceremony for the new Schwab campus in the north Austin area of Gracy Farms. The steel beam signed by all was hoisted to the top of the second office building, currently under construction in the 469,000-square-foot, 50-acre campus.
The new campus will include two five-story office buildings (one of which is the fully renovated former Tivoli Building), an amenity building containing a café and large assembly space/training center and a parking garage.
Designed to create a sustainable, visually appealing and strong identity within the community, the entire campus is targeting LEED Gold certification. Page Senior Principal Larry Speck notes “The project is an architectural reflection of what makes Schwab unique: its heritage of dependability, innovation and forward thinking. Starting with an innately beautiful and memorable site, the campus’ design elements will incorporate consciousness of climate, topography, vegetation, views and local materials to help merge buildings and landscape into a continuous indoor/outdoor experience.”
Dennis Howard, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Schwab, emphasized that “the campus will reflect our employees’ spirit of teamwork, collaboration and passion for their work—and be a great place to work.”
In attendance at the topping out ceremony were Page Senior Principal Bob Burke, Principal Daniel Brooks, Associate Principal Matt Leach, Designer Matt Johnson and Schwab Project Manager Jade Kanevski.
