Michael J. Mace Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

We’re pleased to announce that Page Senior Principal Michael J. Mace has received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. With 38 years of experience in the architecture industry, Michael is being honored for his outstanding contributions to his profession.

As a licensed architect in more than 30 states, Michael’s portfolio includes projects located across the country and around the world. He is a nationally recognized expert in the design of advanced technology / mission critical facilities, a specialization that he has written about in several industry journals.

Michael leads our Denver office and has served on our Board of Directors as head of our Science and Technology market sector since 2014. In this demanding role, he has led many technically challenging projects, including some of Page’s largest semiconductor and data center projects around the world. His portfolio includes the $3.5 billion Samsung Fab A2 project in Austin, which encompassed 1.6 million square feet of new construction and 350,000 square feet of cleanroom manufacturing space. Michael joined Page in 1996 as a Project Director for the firm's Science and Technology market sector.

As a second generation architect, Michael became interested in the field at a very early age. His father graduated with a degree in architecture from Washington State University when he was eight years old, and Michael has clear memories of looking over his father's shoulder as he worked on class projects. Seventeen years later, Michael also graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Prior to his successful tenure at Page, Michael worked as a project architect for firms including: Industrial Design Corp. (IDC) in Portland, Oregon; Gazley, Plowman, and Atkinson Architects in Portland, Oregon and DiNisco Kretsch and Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. Michael also worked for HRM Architects in Boston and Delvin L. Mace Architects in Vancouver, Washington, where he began his career in 1981.

He is active in many professional organizations including the American Institute of Architects, the Association for Computer Operations Management and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles. Michael was previously included in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World.
