Meet Pui-Yee So

Pui-Yee So is an electrical engineer who enjoys the design opportunities her profession provides. Her experience across market sectors ranges from office buildings to public spaces.

A Canadian native, Pui-Yee notes her work as electrical engineering lead at the Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario, Canada as a particularly satisfying project. LEED Gold certified, the Ivey School of Business won several awards including the Ontario Architects Associate OAA distinction of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Design Excellence in Architecture and the 2015 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Illumination Award of Merit for lighting design. 

For Pui-Yee, collaboration is key to a successful project. She enjoys working with clients, architects and contractors throughout the design and construction process and notes that all good buildings are the result of teamwork. Pui-Yee is a LEED Green Associate and holds a Canadian professional engineer designation: P.Eng.

Pui-Yee also volunteers her time for the benefit of others. She has traveled to Honduras with Engineering Ministries International, a non-profit agency that sends design teams to developing countries. In Honduras, Pui-Yee helped design housing and facilities that host North American teams during their stay serving the local communities.

Pui-Yee’s altruistic spirit is reflected in her favorite quote by from Anne of Green Gables: "Some people go through life trying to find out what the world holds for them only to find out too late that it's what they bring to the world that really counts."
