The Beaumont Enterprise reported on the groundbreaking at Lamar University for its new three-story Administration and Honors Building. Page designed the approximately 45,000-square-foot facility.
The Wayne A. Reaud Building will be erected at the corner of Jim Gilligan Way and Rolfe Christopher Drive and serve as the new entrance for the campus.
It will be the home for the university's honors program, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Founded in 1963 with a handful of students, the program has grown to an enrollment of 300 students, said Steve Doblin, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
