How Did They Make That?!?

In honor of the Dallas AIA Chapter's 25th anniversary retrospective designed to publicly promote architecture's contributions to the community, Page made a timeline showing their role in the local industry's history - and a moveable brand installation representing the firm's history and future that was a Facebook sensation.

First, you have to remember Page is a firm of creative people who shine at community design activities like CANstruction which supports the Food Bank, the holiday Gingerbread competition in support of non-profits and Hearts & Hammers which improves low-income housing. Then, Page employees really enjoy being inspired by each other.

If you click through the above gallery of images, you'll see renderings as well as sketches that show the elevation, the view from above and a 3-D view. This helped the Page team determine where to position the logo relative to the mirrored surfaces to create that rotating image effect you see in the below video.

The entire display, which is solid "as a tank" according to Page Principal Aimee Burmaster, was built by Jim Kuchera of Kuchera Designs. In addition to the popular brand installation, Page Designer Kelsey Flynn's graphic design entry was used at the AIA Dallas Retrospect Opening Night party.

Congratulations to the Page team for creating such a successful contribution to this public display! RETROSPECT will remain on view through April 26 at North Park Center.
