Having Fun and Giving Back

The holidays mark a time of giving and celebration of community. This year at Page, we continued our traditions of community service and festive holiday parties.

The holiday season kicked off with our Washington DC office’s sculptural feat at CANstruction. SHARK NANA took home two awards, raised more than $1500 and donated 3090 cans to local food banks. In Texas, volunteer efforts focused on children and senior citizens. Numerous boxes of toys and more than $1,000 were donated to Austin’s River City Youth Foundation’s Merry Memories Toy Drive. The efforts contributed to the mountains of toys and 550 new bikes delivered to more than 700 children. While, the Houston office’s charity drive collected everyday necessities for seniors citizens. General holiday cheer was spread in Dallas, DC and Houston as Pagers participated in local Gingertown events, which brought together talent from design, engineering and construction firms for a design-build competition of holiday confection.

Participation in community events and volunteer activities however is not limited to the winter holiday season, and throughout 2016 Pagers donated their time to local non-for-profits and professional organizations. Stand out moments included Page’s support of Carry The Load, a national organization dedicated to remembering, honoring and celebrating our nation's heroes. The Page team raised $17,367 and participated in the Dallas Memorial Walk on Memorial Day. Competitions like Houston’s Product Runway and AIA Sandcastle as well as DC’s Designs for Felines gave our designers opportunities to raise awareness and funds for local charities while doing what they do best. Likewise, Page’s participation in groups such as Denver’s Kick Ass Women’s Leadership Group allowed our firm to benefit charities such as Hope House of Colorado.

We also believe in supporting our employees with a healthy work environment, and 2016 has been a banner year for office renovations, the introduction of our Materials Matter Program, outings across the San Francisco Bay, new employee bicycles, a Ping-Pong Battle Royale and of course festive holiday parties.
