Engaging Future Engineers

Our team was excited to participate in The University of Texas at Austin Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) Industry Open House earlier this month. The event is important for recruiting and we appreciate hearing from young engineers about what they are looking for in firms. Participating students are encouraged to speak to practicing engineers to learn about possible career paths.

Page Senior Principal Bob Burke, a graduate of the department, joined Page Principal Freddy Padilla and one of our current engineering interns Hallie Pace and Brandon Justice at the open house. “The students all asked very thoughtful questions and were very engaging,” said Bob. “I know that many of them really appreciated Hallie sharing her experiences at Page.” Freddy notes the success of the event saying, " We engaged in many, many conversations with the students who where eager to learn from our experience in the industry. We also found a couple of promising candidates.”
