Denver PARK(ing) Day : A Photography Studio

PARK(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into PARK(ing) spaces, temporary public places.

Two parking spaces in front of the Page office at 15th Street and Wazee Street will be taken over by Page, Bonnie Gross (of the Downtown Denver Partnership), Knoll and NINE dot Arts and transformed into a photography studio for the day. The Studio will feature essential photography gear for the novice and professional, donated for the day by Page and Frank Ooms. There will also be opportunities for Instagram-ready selfies with frames provided by FastFrame of LoDo, and a large photo puzzle, provided by Garrett Larson.

In collaboration with Denver Startup Week, photographer Mark Sink will make a special appearance at The Studio at 11:00am. Sink, a widely recognized leader in the local Denver art scene, helped establish the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and has ensured the citywide Month of Photography Denver’s international reputation. His experimental approach to the medium defines his art. Sink will share details about the upcoming 2017 Month of Photography Denver, which will occur in March and April.
