Coming Soon to College Station: Mixed-Use Development

Has it been a while since you've been to College Station? If so, you might not recognize this university town at first. It placed 2nd on the Forbes Magazine list of Best Small Places for Business and Careers, and the development in the area reflects that.

Several area sectors are growing rapidly: corporate/commercial, housing, retail and energy. Page is in the middle of it all with a new mixed-use project called Chimney Hill, on which the firm is collaborating with PM Realty Group and Oldham Goodwin Group LLC.

Chimney Hill, which sits on several acres at the intersection of Tarrow Street and University Drive, will ultimately be a destination where people can stay overnight or live, eat and shop. The site is located halfway between Highway 6, the main transportation thoroughfare in College Station, and the main Texas A&M University campus. 

The project will be anchored by a boutique hotel and appproximately 200 multifamily residential midrise units. Commercial office space will be included. The Republic Restaurant is already onsite and open for business. It will be joined by widely recognizable retailers that are already slated to be in place when the project is completed in 2017. College Station is home to the main campus of Texas A&M University, the flagship institution of the statewide Texas A&M University System. The university's triple designation as a Land, Sea, and Space-Grant institution results in a broad scope of ongoing projects funded by agencies such as NASA, the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research. Other points of interest in the city include the George Bush Presidential Library, on which several Page employees played key roles, and the D.A. “Andy” Anderson Arboretum.
