Celebrating Community Healthcare Support with Houston Methodist

In the architecture and engineering industry, a sure sign of client satisfaction is repeat business. Page is pleased to have partnered with the Houston Methodist Hospital system on multiple projects and last night, Pagers attended the grand opening for the Houston Methodist West Hospital Phase II expansion.

From the beginning, Page designed the 55-acre campus within Texas Medical Center West to accommodate future expansion. Today, the completed Phase II expansion increases the six-story hospital’s ability to serve the community and represents approximately half of the planned hospital growth.

The event took place a full year after Page and Houston Methodist celebrated the grand opening of the newest Houston Methodist hospital, located in The Woodlands. Pagers Joan Albert, Brian Gray and Aristeo Video were in attendance last night to hear several Houston Methodist leaders speak, including system CEO Marc Boom, hospital CEO Wayne Voss and system Senior Vice President Construction, Facilities Design and Real Estate, Sid Sanders.

The project expands the facility’s capacity across several service lines including emergency, surgical, special procedures, OB and  medical/surgical patient care services. Phase II provides 80 additional patient rooms for neonatal critical care and post-partum in the Childbirth Center as well as two floors of medical/surgical beds. New public spaces include easier access to the hospital from the new 800 car parking garage via a grade-level entrance vestibule as well as a sky bridge connector.
