A Mission Critical Move

Page has built its technical reputation and practice throughout the world on our successful delivery of a wide range of mission critical projects such as complex data centers, some of the world’s largest microelectronics facilities and state-of-the-art academic research laboratories and healthcare facilities. In 2015, Page was ranked by Building Design + Construction magazine as the fourth largest provider of data centers nationwide, and as the seventh largest firm by ENR. In the last eight years alone, Page has designed over 35 data center projects valued at over $3.75B that range from Uptime Institute Tier II – Tier IV designs.

Now, Page has taken an important step to increase the value of the firm’s contribution to the mission critical market sector. A Director of Science/Technology position has been created in the Austin office to enhance Page’s brand in the data center sector, providing thought leadership and QA/QC for key projects across the firm and developing advanced MEP staff training programs to support highly technical projects. Principal Andy Baxter, PE, has transitioned to this new role in the firm's Austin office.

Andy has been involved in some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects, including numerous data centers for financial, technology, transportation and academic clients across the country and major microelectronics projects such as the Samsung Austin Semiconductor Fab A2, the largest wafer fabrication facility in the United States at the time of completion. His thought leadership was rewarded when the United Airlines data center won a 2015 Brill Global Leadership award from The Uptime Institute, due in part to its “robust yet energy-efficient data center design”. He is currently a voting member of ASHRAE’s Technical Committee 9.9 Mission Critical Facilities, Data Centers, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment and has also contributed to the ASHRAE Applications Handbook chapter on Data Processing Facilities.

Page is proud to recognize Andy for his leadership in expanding our presence in the mission critical sector, and looks forward to achieving new levels of award-winning, sustainable project delivery.
