2015 CANstruction

This year, Page built quite a unique structure for the 2015 CANstruction. What looks like a British police box, or telephone booth, is actually our very own TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space capsule from the classic British television show Doctor Who. The construction materials for the time machine is comprised of something old, something new, something borrowed and 4,024 blue canned food items.

Page and other architecture firms in the DC area participated in the Canstruction event presented by the Washington Architectural Foundation and the Society for Design Administration. After the structures are built, the sculptures go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition at the National Building Museum.

At the end of the event, all food is donated to the Capital Area Food Bank. You can also vote for Page for the People’s Choice Award by donating to the cause here.

Thanks to all of the Pagers who participated in the event. The team consisted of Ana Garcia Balboa, Saul Zapata, Jameson Terry, Floyd Stout and Javier Rodriguez, along with additional support from Ciro Monteverde, Holly Taubman, Jessica Baralt, Michelle Levine, Andrew Speer, Cliff Johnson, Vance Cunningham, Christian Russo, Brad Witko, Frederic Truslow, Wisam Aldabbagh, Jonathon Oswald, Samantha Cruz, Chris Bouthilette, Marisa Aschettino and Marquisha Powell.
