2015 BCA President’s Award Recipient Announced
Jonathan Vaughan, Page Principal and Director of Commissioning, has been named the recipient of the 2015 Presidential Award for The Building Commissioning Association (BCA). The Building Commissioning Association is dedicated to creating and supporting the highest standards for the commissioning profession. BCA committees and members work with the international, national and regional leaders to champion industry standards, policies and building codes that meet the future as challenges arise.
The President’s Award is presented to the member who has made the most significant contribution in accelerating best practices and promoting cross-industry collaboration in Building Commissioning. Jonathan was presented the award in the middle of Busch Stadium at the National Conference on Building Commissioning (NCBC) in St. Louis, Missouri.
“The BCA is fortunate to have many outstanding volunteers. We honor Jonathan this year for his service to the Association, for helping to develop new Chapters in the Southwest and dedication to the Professional Development Committee, not to mention his years as an inspirational member of the International Board of Directors. Jonathan’s commitment to the commissioning profession, to our members, and most significantly to the BCA mission makes him a true leader,” said Bill McMullen, BCA President.
Jonathan has sat on the BCA’s International Board of Directors and served as the Southwest Regional Representative. Currently, he is the President of the Texas Chapter of the BCA. He has almost 30 years of experience in managing energy services and building commissioning, “Which is not only about energy efficiency, but about team efficiency,” as he stated in his acceptance speech.
Jonathan also said “One of the great things about volunteer work is the friends that you make along the way. Another great thing that I discovered about volunteering for this organization is that I found ‘my people’ - people that are as passionate about building commissioning as I am.” We’re happy you found your people Jonathan, and we’re even happier that you are one of our people, here at Page. Congratulations!
