10 Most High-Tech Airports in the U.S.
Got a favorite airport? Fodor's Travel does! The world's largest publisher of English language travel and tourism information has identified the 10 most high-tech airports in the US - including Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), which they tout for the "innovation" in the Page-designed Customs terminal.
Fordor's notes that ABIA was one of the first airports in the country to feature WiFi back in 2000, which is fitting for a tech-forward city like Austin. They tapped the airport for the simplicity of the Customs process for passengers arriving from international destinations, with both Automated Passport Control and Global Entry kiosks to help expedite human screening. This “One-Stop” innovation also allows international passengers to pick up their checked luggage first so the passengers and luggage can be cleared in one step.
